Whether you’re looking for training opportunities to advance your career, develop new skills, or explore a personal interest, there are a range of training options available for adults. From short courses and professional certifications to online programs and community workshops, finding the right opportunity can open doors to growth and confidence.

This section will guide you through practical ways to identify, access, and make the most of training resources tailored to your goals.

If you are employed, talk to your employer and ask them about any training schemes, mentoring, or opportunities to gain new skills. They may even be able to sponsor your qualifications. You maybe able to get unpaid time off of work to train if it helps you at your job.

If you are under 25, we also offer training through Apprenticeships and for young people with SEND under 25, we offer Supported Internships.

If your employer cannot help or you are not employed and you want to learn new skills or change direction in your career, explore the options below.

This Skills Bootcamp is designed to accelerate the development of individuals to gain roles in the hospitality industry whilst providing a qualification in the Level 3 Award in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership Principles.

Early Years

You will learn about the EYFS, child development, equality and diversity and child centred care. You will achieve a paediatric first aid and food safety qualification as well as the underpinning knowledge required to work in the sector. Employers will talk to you about the career opportunities available and you will have guaranteed interviews for real vacancies.

Education

Gain the skills and knowledge needed to start a career in education. Every participant is guaranteed a job interview with a Hampshire school.

S2S Academy offers free, interactive online courses that support young people to explore careers, learn how to find and apply for jobs, build confidence for interviews, develop workplace skills, and progress in employment.

Courses are:

  • Free, online and interactive
  • Designed mainly for young people and job seekers
  • Delivered through bite-sized modules and simulations (e.g. practising interviews, workplace scenarios)

There are over 400 courses available to choose from, offering a wide range of subjects to support your career development or help you learn something new.

You can choose from a variety of subject areas, including:

Who can apply

You may be able to get a free course if you:

  • are aged 19 or over, and
  • earn less than £25,750 a year, or
  • are not currently in work

Depending on where you live, there may be different income rules. You can check this with your local college or course provider.

Qualifications you can achieve

The qualification you gain will depend on the course you choose.

Level 2 courses

Level 2 courses are available in:

  • Engineering
  • Manufacturing

Level 3 courses

Most subject areas are available at Level 3.
These courses can lead to qualifications such as:
