Self-Help and Resources

  • Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Children's Therapy Service: The Children’s Therapy team work to support children and young people who need specialist help from one or more of their therapy services. These include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy. They can be reached via 0300 300 2019.
    Referrals can be completed by Parents or Professionals by following the link on the website or by calling their number.

  • Hampshire Portage Service: Portage is a home visiting educational service for families with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), from one year old to statutory school age, who have a significant delay of approximately one third of the child’s age in at least two different skill areas which must include cognition. 
  • Specialist Teacher Advisory Service: This team supports children and young people who are deaf or have hearing loss, have a vision impairment or physical disability, or have speech, language, communication and interaction needs. They offer support to schools, parents or other professionals by phone or email.
