Portage Parent Support Platform
Welcome to the Portage Parenting Support Platform.
You have been guided to this resource page because your child may need additional support for their educational needs.
Hampshire County Council's Portage Service is for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) who have a significant delay by approximately one third of the child’s age in at least two different skill areas which must include cognition.
The service will also work with the early years setting that your child attends so that different skills can be supported by everyone working with your child.
Further information including eligibility and how to apply.
The National Portage Association has some helpful feedback from parents about their experiences of portage.
There is so much that you can do to help your child at home and we hope that the resources, ideas and activities on this page will help you to do this.
