Neurodiversity and Wellbeing Support

Here to support you and your child — with or without a diagnosis

We know it can feel overwhelming when you think your child might be neurodivergent. You may have questions, worries, or feel unsure about what help is available.

We work with families, schools, health teams, and other local services to make sure your child feels understood, included, and supported — at home, in school, and in the community.

Understanding Your Child

One of the main ways we support families is through the profiling tool.
This isn’t a test — it’s a simple way to build a picture of your child’s strengths, needs, and what helps them thrive.

We guide you, your child, and the professionals involved so that everyone has a shared understanding and can work together effectively.

Practical Support for Everyday Life

Using the information from the profiling tool and our multi‑disciplinary team (MDT), we focus on what will make the biggest difference day‑to‑day.
This may include support for routines at home, strategies for school, or ideas to help your child feel more confident and comfortable in their environment.

Our aim is for your child to feel happier, calmer, and better supported in the places that matter most.

Supporting Your Child’s School

We work closely with schools to help them understand neurodivergence and create more inclusive spaces.
This means improving classroom support, reducing exclusions, improving attendance, and helping staff understand what your child needs to feel safe and able to learn.

Clear, Consistent Information

Neurodiversity can feel like a confusing world to navigate.
We help schools and professionals use clear, respectful, and consistent language, so you get straightforward information and your child gets the support they need.

Support Based on Needs — Not Diagnosis

You don’t have to wait for a diagnosis to get help.
We focus on what your child needs now, and share good practice across the system to make sure support is timely and effective.

Working Together With Families

Your voice matters.
We work closely with the Parent Carer Forum so that families can help shape, guide, and improve the support available locally.

We want this service to grow with the needs of our community — and that means working with you every step of the way.
