🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Identity or personal issues including LGBTQ+

Growing up means learning more about who you are – including how you feel about your identity, your body, and your relationships. For some young people, this can include realising they are LGBTQ+, which stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning, as well as other identities.

You might be thinking about whether you want to share parts of your identity with others (sometimes called “coming out”), or you might be exploring what it means to be transgender or non-binary. Everyone’s journey is different, and there is no right or wrong timeline – you can take things at your own pace.

It’s important to know that you are not alone. Many young people have similar questions or experiences, and there is support available if you need it. This section is here to help you understand your options, answer common questions, and signpost you to safe, supportive places where you can talk to someone you trust.
