🏫 School, college or work
Growing up means starting to think about your future – what you enjoy, what you are good at, and what you might like to do next. This could include continuing in education, trying training courses, finding work, or learning new skills to help you live more independently.
This section is here to support young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), along with their families and carers, to plan ahead with confidence. It includes information about different education options, training opportunities, employment support, and the steps you can take to prepare for adult life.
Everyone’s journey is different. You might stay in school or college, take part in supported internships or apprenticeships, or move into work with support. You may also be developing important life skills such as travelling independently, managing money, or building confidence.
We want to help you:
- understand your choices
- explore your interests and strengths
- find the right support at the right time
- feel confident about your future
You do not need to have everything planned straight away. This section will guide you step by step, helping you make decisions at a pace that feels right for you.
