Joining our Activities, Services and Events Directory

The directory provides information about local and national services, activities and support available to Hampshire residents. Our aim is to help people find reliable information, services and opportunities that support their wellbeing, independence and quality of life.

All listings are reviewed before publication.

We also review listings periodically to ensure information remains accurate and up to date. We may remove listings that are no longer active, contain inaccurate information or no longer meet our directory criteria. This is to ensure that listings are genuinely helpful to the people in Hampshire.

If you need to update your information, please use the "Suggest a change" feature on your directory listing.

We list organisations, groups, clubs, charities, services and activities based in Hampshire and the surrounding areas that Hampshire residents would reasonably travel to access.

We will also consider national organisations that:

  • provide services in Hampshire
  • offer online support that is accessible to Hampshire residents
  • fill a gap where there is limited local provision

When reviewing listings, we consider:

  • whether the organisation provides a service, activity or support that may benefit Hampshire residents
  • whether information about the organisation is accurate, clear and up to date
  • whether the organisation is appropriately qualified, registered, accredited or regulated where this is relevant to the services they provide
  • whether the organisation operates in a way that is lawful, ethical and transparent
  • whether listing the organisation supports the purpose of the directory

A listing on the directory does not represent endorsement, recommendation or approval by Hampshire County Council.

We do not routinely list private advocacy, consultancy or casework services whose primary purpose is to provide paid representation or advice.

  • make misleading, exaggerated or unsubstantiated claims about outcomes or effectiveness
  • operate primarily for marketing, lead generation or sales purposes rather than providing information, support or activities
  • have been subject to safeguarding, regulatory or legal concerns
  • provide information that is inaccurate, unsafe, discriminatory or inconsistent with current legislation
  • are not relevant to Hampshire residents or the purpose of the directory
  • fail to respond to requests to verify or update their information

We may request evidence of registration, accreditation, insurance, safeguarding arrangements or professional membership before approving a listing.
