Good Neighbours Network
Description:
Groups of volunteers offering various services such as transport, befriending and dog walking to vulnerable people in the community.
There are over 120 locally-based Good Neighbours groups in Hampshire (excluding Southampton) and nearly all are entirely run by volunteers. They are independent groups, so services offered will vary between groups.
Help which they can offer may include: voluntary transport to and from hospital, GP and other health appointments; befriending; shopping; dog walking; light housework.
Contact your local group to find out more.
GO TO is good neighbours new initiative aimed at helping with loneliness and isolation in new and creative ways. Offering a free e-bike delivery service for prescriptions, food and shopping, to the locals in Hayling Island, Emsworth and Hartley Wintney. See website for more details.
