Description:
Local branch of the National Autistic Society that provides support and activities to children, young people and adults with autism, and their families, in the South Hampshire area.
Services include: Autism Support Group, Partners' Support Group, resource library, Adults' Social Group, Children's Social Group, Family Youth Club, LEGO Club, social events.
As well as training opportunities, seminars, links with other local support services and groups. Representation on the Hampshire Autism Partnership Boards, as well as advice and information.
Branches and groups are run entirely by volunteers with advice and support from the national charity.
This group is looking for additional volunteers to help them carry out their activities. We have opportunities to help in most of our activities and this can range from sparing just a couple of hours every 2 months to a couple of hours per fortnight (or anything in between), depending on the activity and how much time you can spare.
