Southampton City and Region Action to Combat Hardship (SCRATCH)

Description:
SCRATCH provides services which relieve the effects of hardship, disadvantage and poverty for individuals and families living in Southampton and the surrounding area. This includes:

  • Furnish to Florish providing good quality furniture and household items
  • helping individuals and families who need to move in an emergency for reasons such as domestic violence, racial harassment or ill health
  • running a Community Re-paint scheme that redistributes donated paint to referred clients. Collection only from our Southampton site.

SCRATCH also provides a variety of volunteering opportunities, including a workshop/upcycling scheme that enables volunteers to make items from pallets and upcycle donated furniture.

SCRATCH is based in Southampton and able to deliver (subject to the necessary funding) to the whole of Hampshire.
