A welcoming place for autistic and ADHD adults
The Andover Adult Autism and ADHD Community Hub provides information, advice and support for autistic and ADHD adults aged 18 and over. The hub is open to people with a diagnosis, those who are waiting for an assessment, or those who are exploring whether they may be autistic or have ADHD.
The hub aims to help people access support, build confidence, make connections in their local community and improve their wellbeing. It offers a safe and welcoming environment where individuals can get information and guidance tailored to their needs.
What support is available?
The hub can help with:
- Information and advice about autism, ADHD and neurodiversity
- Finding local services and sources of support
- Signposting to specialist organisations and community groups
- Support to improve wellbeing and reduce isolation
- Opportunities to meet other autistic and ADHD adults
- Guidance for family members and carers
- Help to access services that may support independent living, education, employment or social opportunities.
Community groups and peer support
The hub offers opportunities for autistic and ADHD adults to connect with others who have similar experiences. Peer support can help people develop confidence, make friendships and feel less isolated.
For many young adults moving into adulthood, meeting others who understand their experiences can be just as valuable as accessing professional support.
Who is the hub for?
The Andover Adult Autism and ADHD Community Hub is for adults aged 18 and over who:
- Are autistic or have ADHD
- Are waiting for an assessment or diagnosis
- Think they may be autistic or have ADHD
- Would like information, advice or support
- Want to connect with others in their local community.
A formal diagnosis is not required to access support.
Why might this be helpful for young adults with SEND?
Moving into adulthood can sometimes feel overwhelming. Young people may be trying to navigate employment, further education, independent living, relationships and community life whilst also managing the challenges associated with autism or ADHD.
The Community Hub provides a local source of advice, support and connection that can help young adults build confidence, access services and become more involved in their community.
