Tools for Schools
We understand that supporting children and young people means supporting their families too. But with increasing demands on school staff, it can be difficult to ensure parents always know where to find the right information, advice and support.
Tools for Schools has been developed to help.
This free collection of ready-to-use resources helps schools introduce families to Hampshire's Family Information and Services Hub (FISH) and SEND Local Offer, giving parents access to trusted information, local services and support in one place. The toolkit includes practical materials that can be easily shared through school websites, newsletters, parent events, tutor time and staff briefings.
By helping families find answers independently, schools can spend less time responding to routine information requests and more time focusing on teaching, learning and supporting pupils. At the same time, parents become more informed, confident and better equipped to access support when they need it.
Whether you're supporting pupils with SEND, promoting wellbeing, preparing young people for adulthood or simply helping families navigate services, Tools for Schools provides practical resources that can be used throughout the academic year. Together, we can help families access the right support at the right time and strengthen the partnership between home, school and wider services.
