Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)

CAB’s provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. They can also offer advice on debt and financial difficulties. Visit their national website or find your local CAB.

Contact Hampshire County Council

Visit the Council’s website for information about Council services. The County Council deals with:

Education     Transport     Environment and Planning     Public health     Social care 

Libraries       Waste management    Trading standards


Contact your Borough or District Council

The District and Borough Councils cover a smaller area and are responsible for services, including:

Rubbish collection    Recycling    Council Tax collections 

Housing     Household planning applications

For those unable to access the internet, Hampshire County Council publishes two Care Guides - A Guide to Better Care and Support and the Guide to Residential Care. You can request a free copy of these by telephoning 0300 555 1386.
