Education, Training and Employment
We want you to have the same opportunities as any other young person to learn new skills, achieve your goals and build the future you want.
As you prepare for adulthood, you may be thinking about college, university, an apprenticeship, training, getting a job, or exploring different options before deciding what you'd like to do next. Whatever your goals, you don't have to work them out on your own.
Your Personal Adviser (PA) will work with you to explore your options, identify your strengths and interests, and help you take the next steps towards education, training or employment.
This section includes information about:
- Continuing in education, training or apprenticeships
- Going to college or university
- Finding and applying for jobs
- Writing CVs and completing applications
- Preparing for interviews
- Support to help you get into work and stay in work
- Financial support that may be available while studying or training
You don't need to have your future planned out straight away. It's okay to take things one step at a time, change direction, or explore different opportunities along the way.
We're Here to Help
Your Personal Adviser can support you to:
- Explore your education, training and employment options
- Set goals and make plans for the future
- Access careers advice and guidance
- Apply for courses, apprenticeships or jobs
