Care Leaver's Local Offer Qualifying Care Leavers
This section brings together information, advice and services that may be helpful if you are a qualifying care leaver.
As you move into adulthood, you may need support with things such as housing, employment, education, training, health, finances, relationships or parenting. Here, you can find links to organisations, services and resources that can help you navigate different stages of life and access support when you need it.
As a qualifying care leaver, you can ask for support from a Personal Adviser (PA) until you are 21 years old. In some circumstances, you may be able to receive support from a PA up to the age of 25, particularly if you would like help with education or training. Your PA can help you understand your options, access services and work towards your goals.
We recognise that everyone’s journey is different. Whether you are starting work, returning to education, developing your career, raising a family, looking after your wellbeing or planning for the future, there is support available to help you make informed choices and build the life you want.
We want this information to reflect what matters most to people with care experience, so we will continue to listen to feedback and develop this section over time.
Our aim is to help you feel informed, confident and connected, with access to the advice and support that is right for you.
